He is supposed to overreact so that the (Aje ) wealth can leave his house. If they don’t do it like that and he called her she will pick up and there will be no reason for her to leave the house which will make the movie long. Do you realize it started getting interesting after she left .

Ajeyemi a very smart man,as for Gbadebo & his cohorts they got what they deserved,a very deep,interesting and educative movie,lesson learnt: never sell your ancestral property,Gbadebo used his hands to push Aje away from is life while Ajeyemi had Aje and he made sure he guide it jealousy

Simple and beautiful. Movies don't have to be so complex to understand. Although, I think there should have been a stronger reason to send Apeke out of the house.
