The premise of American idol has changed. It used to be more focused on vocal talent alone and flexibility (singing across genres), but now it's more focused on artistry. There's obviously some needed vocal talent to be a good artist, but there's other talents needed too such as stage presence, connection with audience, creativity, etc. So, because of this, the most popular (best overall artists) get through instead of the most vocally talented.

He deserved to stay. He’s a stand out artist. Just like the white gal’ they claim is the “diamond in the rough,” and they can close their eyes and recognize “her voice” more than any others…. I in turn feel he has those same qualities. They shouldn’t of let him go. He’s rare . All around rare, raw, genuine talent. Not to mention - If they truly were “looking for someone who has it all” they never would of let Mackenzie (the tall British I think he is -boy w/ blonde hair) - they wouldn’t of let someone like HIM go. 😮 He’s a full package a natural artist on stage. I have come to believe- after 15 years it feels of this show - that it’s rigged. 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk anymore guys. Kinda sucks.

I think this was the best performance Ajii's done so far. The crowds reaction before and after the performance shows he deserved to be in the top 14. People really loves him. When I voted, I noticed that only one slate was available. One group of contestants was missing. This missing group included Odell and others. I went to a different platform, and I found the missing ones. Did anyone else have this experience? I had not watched American Idol in years until last year with iam tongi. I noticed a new spirit on the show, a new energy, new life, a universal spirit of cooperation, and even brotherhood. May this wrong be righted by the people. Others have been successful after losing on American Idol. May he join this crowd of winners. Ajii, Ajii, Ajii......
