The pomp and circumstance, the continuity of a monarch above the divisiveness of politics and inevitable changes in social norms, is inspiring. Here in the United States, it is not just the celebrating the Queen's platinum jubilee, it is the endurance of peoples through ten centuries of wars, plagues, religious upheavals, revolutions, and continuing to evolve through it all. My country, the US, is a young country, greatly troubled as many countries are, yet many of us admire the the monarch and the institutions that represent the history and the endurance to go forward, that is what the pomp and circumstance means to much of the watching world.

Yeah, your right...and more people on earth serve Satan and ignore God, his teachings, laws & commands. There's a poverty war going on all over the world. The Brits are suffering badly, closed businesses, no money for food, rent/mortgage, utilities, clothing, supplies, yet the monarchy is still pretending in fairytales, illusions & traditions rather than put those millions into their citizens. How much did ONE day cost of flags going up then coming down, barricades, going up then down, horses, decorations, riders, uniforms, instruments, wagons, canons, carriages, riders, drivers, vehicles, police force, bodyguards, thousands of slaughtered female bears to use their precious fur to cover the brainless skulls of the Brits? A cake and candles works just fine...for someone who doesn't even attend the parade.

But…it is not your Queen…you made that bed in 1776 now you have to lie in it. Also, Britain is older than a thousand years. There were people there planting the cultural seeds before Christ. Learn your facts before you start blubbering.

When everyone is marching in together in time a single crack as every single heel hits the road together can be heard, its very satisfying when you feel that total team work feeding back into your brain is heard. I haven't heard that for yonks.

It’s almost impossible to comprehend that we in the uk 🇬🇧 have had our glorious queen for almost a quarter of the _lifetime_ of America! Somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3 of the existence of your nation, it really does bring it home, both how long Her Majesty has reigned and just how brand new the USA is. I took my grandchildren to the actual jubilee celebrations, their first visit to London. What a wonderful three days, but it’s now Monday and I’m still exhausted and aching lol.
