ジュニアのスタイリングがこの時代が微妙。オープン選手権から帰りテリーNWA栄冠時代（キールでキニスキー＆ブリスコ組と対戦）やアンドレやチャボとの試合ではもっと髭をのばしてよりヒールスタイルなのだけどこの頃はジョージアタッグ時代では無精髭スタイルじゃなかったと思う。シークとの流血戦（ジュニアが流血するのはかなりショッキングだった）があるからワイルドさを演出したのかな？色々言ってるけど嫌いではないよ

I have to admit , The Claw is one of the least convimcing finishing holds in wrestling. Abdomonal claw is far more paimful than Cranial Claw .

for people that never saw the st. Louis wrestling matches , under the st. Louis wrestling club..by sam muchnick..you missed out... dorys matches againist ..blackjack lanza , baron von raschke , .. dick the bruiser , pat O'Connor , jack brisco.... you missed real wrestling history.... also gene kiniski , .. the crimson knight..dr. big bill miller Harley race..and johnny valentine , and rufus r. jones... dory funk jr.. is a true legend

Wrist lock, leg lock, head lock give them a rest. They want to take a rest during a bout because of every night bout. motionless ground wrestling is　 a bit boresome to japanese crowd who are very accustomed to bloodbath by Abby. This is the bout that we enjoy Dory's spinning toe hold and Lanza's black jack claw

Its not boring if you understand the effectiveness of that sort of wrestling . This is catch as catch can wrestling , not sport entertainment . So the strategy of a match mattered a lot more .

See wearing down your opponents with grinding holds that you can also lower your weight onto makes it easier to land upper cuts , forearm smashes , and drop kicks . Each of those stun enough that you could put a devastating manuver like a body slam or piledriver or suplex on....Dory was the master of tearing his foe apart the better to catch them unaware or a step too slow .

Notice Lanza stumned Dory with chops before he could body slam him . After Dory was blasted to the matt Lanza went for his finisher, The Claw . I like ot whena match seems real
