I've been seen the fear in the comments of this being the last time ajr makes music, but I have a theory that Jack saying "I think it time to go" or "let's go out with a bang" doesn't mean ajr is leaving, but maybe it means that there leaving their childhood and are finally growing up, AJR fans have been seeing them "grow up" so maybe it's them finally growing up and may make an album about it. This song is not about suicide. “We wrote “BANG!” about the weird middle ground between being a kid and becoming an adult; a time when we’re doing all the adult things adults are supposed to do, but we don’t feel grown up yet” “the fact is, adulthood is bound to hit us at some point, so the plan we made in the song is to ‘go out with a bang.” - AJR Edit: guys this is not a fan theory or something I made up. This is a quote from the band who wrote the song. They’ve even said they knew people were probably going to interpret it as suicide and that that’s wrong.
