This excerpt had a great comedy interchange between Al Jolson and Groucho Marx. I used to enjoy "You Bet Your Life" with Groucho Marx, first on radio and then on television. The latter program was for many years both on radio and television - a stimucast.

Few of us were alive when Jolson was performing; he died on 23 Oct 1950 at the age of 64. Marc I know this isn’t related here but did Jolson ever meet Harry James, Benny Goodman or any of the Big Bang leaders of the time?

He did record with Guy Lombardo, and I am sure he came across others on the "circuit" or in other haunts!
