Nothing like African American Spirituals. I used to hear my grandmother humming (Over My Head) this spiritual and so many others in the kitchen as she prepared supper... man, those were simpler times, and this music transports me all the way back. I can smell black-eyed peas, collard greens, hot water cornbread, oxtails...RIP gramma & Auntie Jessye.

Music straight from the throne of God. So beautiful it actually moves me beyond tears. This is the type of music that can drive out depression and oppressive thoughts. ..calms the soul.

I almost died, indeed, my heart filled with Happynes and Love. 'Cuz before I became a Beyoncé fan, I was a huge, and I still am, a great fan of the great Diva, Miss Kathleen Battle. Her voice is loke an angel singing in my ears. So thank you AJ950060, God Bless You, U made my life better, all my lve and respect for you. ;D

Excellent!!!! I love this!!! 4:40 Validation on the true nature of BEV or Ebonics. The value and the beauty of this expression should make all southern American proud of their agrarian roots. Bravo I would love to know what Dr. Ernie Smith thinks of this.

I remember this performance as if it were yesterday … Kathleen Battle’s voice is amazing to say the least- but it was the woman that played that hop captured my soul!!! Sounded as if the heavens opened up and The Psalmist, King David himself, was playing that harp. Just spellbinding❤️
