hi im subbed i think your vids are amazing, im new but i noticed you dont use quad topology in areas while modelling the ak but your textures turn out fine. i've heard quads are better for applying textures but im just wondering if not using quads makes a difference and if i should stick to trying to model things in quads?

Hey, yes it’s my weak point. It is much better to use quad workflow, and the textures might mess up if the topo is super bad. But if you unwrap it correctly, you should not get any messed up textures.
