Wow...You did a great job at home modifications. Inspiring me to restart my antique 12 gauge project. CHEERS !

It sounds like a different kind of project, but antique guns are some of the most interesting. Good luck and thanks for watching!

I'm not too familiar with the type nomenclature of Norinco Hunters, but I believe the closest match was a Type 2. It is not and was not a MAK 90 of any kind.

One wonders if one could use the original wood stub of the hunter stock as a guide for a aluminum or steel 3D CNC machined piece? Of course one would have to have access to that tool, but one might then be able to sell a few hundred pieces to people like me

Was that the Norinco/Polytech Mak90 Huter Type 1 version ?

How is this rifle holding up? I just saw one locally in its original form.
@DrThunder886 жыл бұрын
It's holding up well! I don't shoot it a lot as I have a lot of rifles, so I can't say it's been through a torture test. Still, it was a well made gun to begin with. The design of the original is bonkers. Much like modern Saigas, it's a civilian version of a military rifle that's being forced into a more "civilian" configuration, so there's always some functionality and aesthetic lost. So, while I don't consider the Hunter a classic, it is pretty interesting!

Have you seen the akbrv for the saiga? Do you think the angle would match?
@DrThunder885 жыл бұрын
@@hellmedic6490 I'm not familiar with the akbrv, however there is very little in common between the Saiga receiver and the Hunter receiver. I would suspect that anything that is designed to fit one would not fit the other.
