Yes, very intimate. Whenever my prosthetist would reach his hand around my groin, I tell him he’d have to take me to dinner first. It certainly lightened the uncomfortable mood. LOL

What really helps is that we (Christina and I) have known this prosthetist for years, even before he became one!

I starting laughing when you mentioned about your prosthetist getting intimate with you🤣 My prosthetist uses an iPad and 3D camera to make my sockets. No intimacy involved 😜😉

Looks good. She should have done some marking inside of her cast with an indelible pen. That's what we do where I work and it would have been cool to see her teach that.

Casting pants, all the elastic braces/straps to help shape the cast, moulding the ischial seat and then getting soaked in cold water ...dignity runs out the door at the speed of light 🥴 🤣😂 it’s so strange to see someone getting casted standing up. Hopefully you don’t have to wait too much longer to get your new leg 🤗🦿🤗

So,how odd is it to be an A.K.A. compared to before...looking down and not seeing much left . It amazes me how they can remove a limb yet you're still able to use it...seems muscles would be less functioning

I am having my left leg amputated above the knee next Thursday, I see you are using Hanger I will be also, I am on the bigger side not sure if I want someone all up in my kool-aid, but I will have to get over it! Thank you for sharing your journey, it has helped me to know what to expect!

Don’t worry. You’ll be so focused on being able to walk again by that time there’s not much they can do that will be a huge issue. New socket day is better than Christmas for me

I'm a BK. I wish you well with your upcoming surgery. I'm trying to stay away from going that hi. When my stump finally heals (it's about a month behind what the surgeon was expecting. Had some infection and a few spots that won't heal), I've been referred to Hanger in Decatur, Illinois. The iWalk 2.0 has really helped me be mobile since my surgery Sept 21, but wow I can't wait to really walk again.

I always find your videos really interesting. I am not an amputee, but my right shoulder is trashed in a manner that cannot be surgically fixed. Kind of like the reverse, hand works, but not much above the elbow

& from that they get a life size copy of your limb by filling it with plaster that they can then make the socket over 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
