Thanks for the video, just did mine as your showed. Easy as hell. The only suggestion I would make... before I started I shoved a cleaning patch down the barrel just beyond the depth of the guide and pushed it out the end of the barrel with a cleaning rod when I was done. Believe it or not didn't have a single metal shaving in the barrel. My Mak90 is now ready to rock-n-roll as this was the last thing to do to it. I took the “Bush-hole” stock off and replaced the furniture with a Bulgarian set. Time to throw a couple of 75 round drums on it tomorrow and see what it will do.

My Machinist/gunsmith would't thread my MAK90 and he didn't know anyone who would. So, I bought the CNC kit and did it myself. Took maybe 1/2 hour and worked flawlessly. Thanks Alden and CNC

I am guessing there was no need to annular cutter?

Seems like a brass washer would be good, in case you need to compress them a tad to line up the brake?

Great video! May be a stupid question but is that a right hand thread or left hand thread when ordering from CNC warrior?

At 1:50 you say "five hundred and fourty eight thousandts " when the caliper actually reads .488 or so??

Hey Dude. I was watching this video and saw a similar issue with my romainian ak 7.62 threading. Do you have any suggestion on what muzzle thread measurement I should use and muzzle I should use? Hope you can help me.

MAK-90 Barrel had been ground down too small for the 14x1 lh to thread, Im a fan of the phantom muzzle brake so I know the 7.62 bullet will have no problem clearing and performing..but what is common procedure for MAK's that have had their threads ground down too small? Is it possible to thread to 1/2-28 and just make sure there is 7.62/308 Clearance? What are people doing? Any Info wud be great guys!

@Magnum Mountaineer keep in mind they just ground down the threads on mine, but MAK-90's are different too, some milled and all of the later NHM-90's, NHM-91's and MAK-91's had diff receiver thickness and the 91's had long barrels. You need to go here and read closely www.southernoutdoorlife.com/mouseguns/mak90web/mak90.htm

So in your case it wasnt necessary to use an annular cutter before you were able to threading your barrel? How long is your thread now?

Sorry I know this was posted years back but did your MAK90 barrel have grooves like it’s treaded? If so did you have to file them smooth first?

My mak 90 had a threaded barrel, with a nut completely welded on. I had to Dremel it off and it was a huge pain in the ass to get off.
