The red flex armor is in the vest itself. The blue plate is in a pocket on top of the vest. It’s an additional piece, just like some spec ops dudes were soft armor under their plate carrier.

It did appear to be closer. There’s a way to check that using knowns in the video. For instance, the length of the AK, the height of the dummy and the height of the shooter. Using that combination there’s a program that can calculate the distance… or someone can just do the math I suppose. I’m not that too with math.

Didn't think it would require this much brain power to visualize what I was saying, but hey its KZbin. No I'm not saying no armor is the way to go. (Although a good argument could be made) what I am saying I most of yall think it's Warzone out here and that the bullets will always hit the plates. Armor only covers MAX 25% of your body. And also most people when their heart rate is 220 and have shit in there pants aren't gonna be stone cold aiming center mass. They are just gonna shoot at your silhouette. Which last time I checked legs lower torso, hips, arms, shoulders, and head are a part of. All very squishy, all very much when shot will inhibit your ability to stay in a fight.

​@Mandumoto the point of armor is not to take hits and stay in the fight. The point of armor is to stop a kill shot. As your fellow soilders back you up. Being shot in the heart or lungs will take you out the fight alot faster then being shot in the leg. I would never go with no armor. I litteraly can't see any reason to not wear armor. The weight is a pain but it's better to have bad knees then a rotting corpse.

Second with this argument I assume you where lvl 4 plates in an IOTV in everyday life? My argument against armor is its just not applicable in 99% of life, even the smallest carriers are too big for a nuggy run. If you don't have the physical fitness to be able to move effectively in armor yes. Go without it.

I hadn’t noticed. I did notice that the sound was a bit off and the barrel rise was not there. Come to think of it, I didn’t observe a single case ejecting. Low powered rounds might not eject properly and the bolt might not cycle so the cuts make more sense now.

The problem there is, although the rounds don't penetrate, there's still the problem of ENERGY TRANSFER which will then be transferred into the wearer's body resulting in massive bruising on the body due to massive internal hemorrhaging or bleeding which will still result in eventual death. Unless you're using anti-trauma pads of either hydrogel or, better still, aerogel to disperse & disrupt that energy transfer to the wearer's body, you're just aiming for a massive bruising that'll eventually kill you.

Apparently every AK is an AK-47, a rifle made in 1947. That there is an AKM, upgraded AK-47 design from the 50's, more accurately the Zastava M70 from yugoslavia judging by the handguard. This problem also applies to the AK-74, a 1974 rifle, completely different firing system, bolt, mag, barrel and muzzle. Same look, different design. Also, guy somehow racked that bolt while it was flicked to safety.
