Diva 24 what did your GPA do the term that you pledged?
@just_shaeee3 жыл бұрын
@@TWN321 Mine was a 4.0 & I was a nursing major. It was hard but it didn’t drop until two semesters after I crossed. I graduated with a 3.77.

@@just_shaeee Wow Congratulations! From my experience in classes with people who pledged I figured it almost always went down. Those folks vanished for weeks... The couple of people I was close to when they pledged had trouble as well. Anyways, good for you. What % of pledges do you suspect don’t suffer academically as a result of pledging? My cousin is very interested in AKA. She has a 3.8 in Nursing as well, but wants to stay on the deans list throughout the college career.

@@TWN321 To be frank, I can't answer that, but I do know my cousin, who is an attorney, said her chapter won the regional award for the highest GPA the year she crossed. Several of her line sisters are attorneys and their GPAs were not negatively impacted. However, each individual is different. Tell her to pray about the process as a whole and let God lead her. School should come first (after God and family of course) and there is always grad chapter if she needs to wait. Hope this helps. 😊

@@just_shaeee Thank you for the reply. Yes this helps. Being unable to clearly say that pledges grades are generally not affected or that the organization takes strong measures to protect grades during the process suggests that there may be a wide variety of results from campus to campus. I would think this is something the organization would want to address to prospective pledges; but It is good that the sorority rewards hi GPA. Well thank you for your feedback. Congratulations on your success and Happy holidays to you.

@halygreen91144 жыл бұрын
TWN321 depends on the school and the sorority/fraternity. Our purpose surrounds encouraging “high scholastic standards” so time management is all that’s needed.

Haly Green so how effective can a Greek organization really be (AKA in your case) in maintaining common standards from campus to campus?
