I would melt the brown down into the blonde like a balayage & gradually melt the blonde up front to leave more brightness around your face (but leave the blonde a bit thicker in the face framing pieces so you can still do bright colors there & on ends) - just a melt would be gorgeous.

But I'm so proud that you've stuck to growing out the damage, no extensions needed for the final look soon! 💙Since my opinion was asked, you should keep the front bits bleached the way they are and hang on to the damaged parts ombre style. You can do all sorts of bright colors on it, ones that remove easily without bleach. This'll work great until the end of the year at least!

I think it would look cool to leave the front chunks blonde, take a top layer of the rest of your hair and dye it your natural color and leave out the under layer so you can dye all the blonde rainbow (or anything) when your heart desires but still rock your natural color. Like a peekaboo, underlayer type situation with money piece thing. I'm not making sense, am I making sense? 😂 🌈

If you even think you MIGHT want to add some color into your hair again soon.. dont dye it brown. Youll just have that much more to remove and all that added damage. And I would leave the front alone too. Any permanent dye is gonna be that much harder on your hair to remove later on. I say.. wait till you go for the big chop... see how you feel. I personally stopped dying my hair January 2021, I had purple hair for the longest time and then I got pregnant and decided that it was an excuse to stop lol not that I couldn't have kept dying my hair, but that's a subject for another time. Anyways, I just got all the blonde finally cut out of my hair, about shoulder length and I have fallen in love with my natural hair color that I haven't seen since 2010 lol I think you should continue growing it out if you really want you're natural back, but you're you, and you love rainbow hair, so you do you girl! Maybe you could do highlights in the future and just dye those rainbow, that would be interesting :)

Hair can only take so much. Personally my hair never could handle being bleached. So I live vicariously through others. Wishing I had rainbow hair or dark smoky colored jewel toned hair. Congratulations on your baby!

You could always make a semi permanent brown. I did it mixing strawberry leopard dark blue a tiny bit of red and lime crime orange. It made a gorgeous red brown that I wanted and was easy to remove!!

Girl I really do love your natural brown/ dark blonde hair color it's so pretty 🤗, I do think doing the big chop and keeping the color you have will make everything grown faster and fuller, girl same I Wana change my hair color all the time🤭, I've been wearing lots of wigs so I won't have to color my hair, Human hair wigs really be saving my hair girl, I think having a good handful of wigs with different colors is a must have that way your natural hair can heal underneath the wigs, while still having fun with your hair colors, once you do the Big chop you're hair should be very long in no time🙏 can't wait to see the big reveal this is so exciting.

I went pink recently with the Pravana pink and really liked it. It completely washed out of my hair after clarifying well. if you ever want a change that will wash out after like a month (very evenly) give it a try!

Ah, I totally get that feeling of wanting to do something with your hair to get back to natural colour but also not sure and the to and frow feeling! I’d say maybe dye some of the front blonde brown so it’s a thinner section of blonde as you say and dye the rest a colour really close to your natural! Then at least you still have blonde you could play about with and maybe even do rainbow colour there and do pleats and make a total amazing look! 💗💗💗

As someone who literally chopped off all their platinum hair to grow out their natural.. let me tell you.. it is a SLOW process. A year later and I got a shoulder length style finally. One thing I've learned the hard way through my many hair color adventures is that if you don't know what to do to your hair... leave it alone!!! Lolol I'm so serious though. Cause I impulsively dyed my hair blue before chopping it and absolutely hated it. Of coarse, being blue.. it did not budge when I tried to remove it. Thus damage and chopping it. Super happy I've stuck it out and even more proud of you for sticking it out in your own hair health journey. It's not easy!!

It's hard to believe that 8 little wefts of hair could make such a huge difference but wow. It looks so nice and even now. Considerably thicker as well. Since you asked us to contribute what your next move with your hair should be I think a little of the dye you used for your extension on the blond parts of your hair would look really cool. Not all the way down but leave a couple inches blonde and the rest the color you are trying to grow out. That way if you want to do any direct dyes it is just on the ends and they are already blonde so no more damage. If you crave another rainbow just wear one of the wigs you have . That way when you do not want the rainbow and want to try something new it will be easy to trade out wigs and you have zero regret with your healthy natural hair still intact. You have awesome ideas and are extremely talented though so I am sure you will figure it out soon. I can hardly wait to see what you do next!

My suggestion would be to dye the top part of your hair your natural colour, then you could play around with the underneath section with all different colours! And you could just put up the brown half of your hair if you're feeling colorful that day!

i think you rock the blonde, its so hard. i undertand. i usually try to do my hair and follow the color wheel. I went from natural to orange to red to purple. i really needed to wash out the red to get to purple and now its silvey ends and purple roots. i also started to do money peices and avoid bleaching the full root. idk, i feel like were super similar where we love change and the color really represents the mood. I feel like you would be bummed and not feel like yourself if you went mostly brunette.

Hey Aislinn, i watched this video while i was getting myself out of bed this morning and the way you blended the extensions into your hair for the sole purpose of filling in gaps was so eye opening!! I'm playing with my unnaturally long extensions right now, trying to get the length to blend and be just a bit longer than my natural like what youre doing, and it's making me soooo happy! ❤ I started losing my hair around 2 years ago due to androgenetic alopecia and this feels like exactly what i needed to see to make me realize i can feel a little bit happier with my hair every so often if I use extensions right. thank you!!

I feel you on finding your natural color beautiful from 2013 to 2018 I did rainbow colors mermaid hair galaxy, totally white, went grey etc the whole color spectrum was hit and then 2019 I decided to grow out my natural hair then cut off all my bleached ends that were fried to hell and back. now sitting with my totally natural hair a bit past my shoulders I’m really in love with it!

I had a split dye done at the hairdresser, I said i didnt want to bleach my hair if my hair couldnt handle it but she was like "no no its fine". Turns out she burnt so much of half my hair off, now I havent coloured it for 8 months so my regrowth is about as long as yours on both my blonde and black side. Im really looking forward to my natural, healthy hair! Maybe I will colour it in the future, but right now I would rather have long hair than pretty hair haha

It's grown back longer now but I just don't know what to do with it, no color really feels right and it's easier to stay blonde then to get impulsive. Cause removing dye is just inevitable at this point.

Dang, we are totally on the same page right now!! In December 2019, I did a blunt chop. Cut off about 4 inches, which was all split ends. I grew it out and it was amazinggg. Sadly, i’m back in the same spot with split ends😓 In 5 days i’m going to do another blunt chop! And hopefully grow it long long🖤

as someone who has been on a MAGICAL hair journey over the years. I stopped dying my hair in august 2020 and let it grow! i kept cutting little parts of my platinum blonde off of it so i could really see my natural colour. during the process i loved my natural colour and was really proud of myself for not doing anything to it. my natural hair colour is quite similar to yours. and then.. 2 weeks ago i decided i had to get rid of my natural colour and go back to a brighter blonde because i didn't feel like myself, or like i could express myself via my hair. so what i'm saying is.. i recently had to chop my hair all the way to my ears, lord farquardt style because i had a reaction to a color remover, it bleached my regrowth in my roots anf i ended up losing hair mainly on the right side of my head so i just chopped it all off. It’s been about 3-4 months now and my hair is just above my shoulders now thanks to olaplex and rigorous vitamin intake 😅☺️☺️☺️

I say dye the rest of your hair your root colour!!! And leave the front pieces blonde to play with other colours if you want :) Darker colours like browns tend to hide breakage and thinner areas, as oppose to blonde colours that highlight it.

ugh, i feel the same way! i got of lowlights with a 5 neutral brown on level 8 bleached hair and i do like it but some days i just miss being a blonde. on other days i wish to regrow my natural dark hair and get root melt (i have 5 months of regrowth) but i just don't know what to do

I would use one of the “conditioner” I think you tried some last year if I remember, can’t remember the name. I think they’re Redkin maybe? Anyway, that way you could get a taste of the brownish blonde, without too much commitment.

maybe keep the very front (and like your face framing hair all around by the ears too) the blonde color and dye all of the rest your natural color.... and then you u can color the front blonde section a color or something.

I'm having the exact same issue of one side is so messed up. And I've got golden demarcation with roots because I'm terrified to bleach my roots because it's very difficult ult as you know to not overlap any of the bleach. Now my hair is silver because I thought it would be better than having having white with the regrowth. But no it looks like shit. Idk what to do. Geeze.

I wouldn't use permanent dye on your own hair. Once you want to go light oor do bright colours again, it'll be a pain to get out and match the other blonde. I saw someoneelse say this, maybe got a balayage ang gradually "thin out" the bigger blond chunk in the front and diffuse it into the balayage. A rainbow balayage would look dope as well and would kinda hinder you to use a bleach based remover as it'll shift your base :D

You are beautiful no matter which color you do. I'd say dye your hair except for those front strips back to your natural color. Keep the front sections white so you can still do hair experiments and change things up. That's what I'm doing now so I can grow my hair long and stop giving myself chemical haircuts.

Its ironically funny that you just bleached your roots at the two front pieces and now you want them brown again 😂I do like the front pieces being blonde and thickness of them brightens up your face. A balayage with the two front pieces being blonde would be cute
