This time, I walked around the shopping street in Akabira City, Hokkaido, Japan. First of all, I walked along National Route 38 from Akabira Station. There are still many shops in old buildings, and you can easily imagine the bustle of the former coal mining city. From 19:44, we will enter Yasurai Street. This is a restaurant area, and the atmosphere of Showa (around 1970) remains as it is. Akabira has become known as the location of the award-winning movie "Drive My Car," which was released last year, and the cafeteria visited by the filming staff is located on this street, making it a popular store. This town is also a very attractive town where you can enjoy the food that supported the coal mine man in the atmosphere of the time and feel nostalgia.
