I love this orchestra and the music, but I want to comment on the audio and video. Many television companies could well learn from the quality of this production, including the BBC. It is clean, crisp, the audio is full from the lowest to the highest notes, the camera work is some of the best I have ever seen. The whole audio and video teams seem to understand music!

The kid with the glasses on violin in the front row is killing it!!! Like he’s so passionate into what he does I can tell. I was more focused on watching his act more than everyone else in the symphony. Some people are just more passionate into what they do more than others and he’s an example and the flute player is another great example. She was jamming too I saw her!

Deeply profound. A musical statement that only through the freedom from oppression can a soul or the souls of a nation finally find their true identity and purpose. Dimitri Shostakovich's works are like great epic stories of survivorship and victories through despitet constant hardships. All his symphonies are so epically expressed musically, the tonalities are never afraid to go too high or too low to express deep musical depth. I will always be in great admiration of his masterful understanding of the hardships of mankind and the pain in the soul, as its authenticity is tested to the limits. Shostakovich's musical soul expression was as good as gold.
