did you need the cd, or did the software come up when you plugged in your usb? I have a Mac book pro I dont have any where to install it with CD.. Any tips?

I ended up not needing the CD. You can download the software from the veikk website at www.veikk.com/companyfile/2/

Did you update the firmware when you got the ewi. I cannot find a firmware update anywhere on the akai website.

Hi Stephen, I didn't find any firmware update either. I just use the default downloaded app

@@daraoladapo thanks. It’s stupid they first made the ewi usb in 2008. They tell you in the Manuel how to update the firmware and to download it from the akaipro website but they don’t put any firmware up there. Oh well it works fine with my iPad as it is. Thanks again.
