Quick (dumb ?) question: why do you sample the various Hype-synth sounds and play them as key groups into clips, rather than just play the midi into the clips as hype-synth plug-ins ? Do you prefer the sound of the sampled synth rather than the “live” synth sound played direct from the plug-in ? Or can you do more (modulation, effects, etc) with the sample than with the plug-in sound payed direct ? Hope that makes sense ! Thanks 🙏
@danieklerr4 ай бұрын
Great question! Honestly, for the top synths I rarely resample, and opt for my own keygroups and synth collection. But I wanted to keep this demo all in the Force. For basslines, though, there just aren't that many plugin tracks available, and I often have 3 or so dozen clips in one movement. I love being able to imprint layers of effects, which really adds to the possibilities in the Force, and I even like to overdub with external FX, via Ableton or other, which I haven't even covered here.

@@danieklerrim sure youre aware of mockba mod. It removes the track limitation. Ive been using it to make longer live sets. Pretty neat

I've been planning on using the Mockba Mod for over a year. I am aware of a lot of the benefits, but I actually didn't know the track limitations were different! You have sealed the deal, pretty much.. I must install it this week. Thank you!

@@gmorb666 What the most you use before it starts buggin out?
@gmorb6664 ай бұрын
@Harlem-Instrumental I'm not sure I haven't hit a bug due to too many tracks. If anything, it would bug out due to high cpu or low ram. But i upgraded my ram to 4gb as well, so the force can chug along pretty nicely rn. Snowmetal would need to test it out since he seems to be more of a power user than I.
