Hey Taetro, this is the best video of the MKII I've seen along with the accompanying performance video. I have a couple questions for you. 1. My MPK editor will not run at the same time as ableton, which is really annoying, because if I want to reprogram something on it, I have to close ableton then make the change then close it and reopen ableton. How have you dealt with this? Also, why do you have completely empty scenes in every other row?

trying to assign a pad to turn on/off tracks like he does in the video. assigned a pad to the track on buttons that I want and can get them to turn but cant get them to turn back off again after that first trigger. if anyone has any tips please lmk!

I think you can use the pitchbend on the akai to navigate left/right /up/down i session view. But you need to set it to (x = cc1 = left/right) & (y = cc2 = up/down). In the MPK Mini mkII - Editor. /Dennis

The akai is a midi interface, hence you usb to computer. The computer / audio interface handle the sound.

When I map a button to track on/off it forces me to hold down the button while I want the track to be on, and as soon as I let go the track is off. Is there any way to change this? Running Live 9 Suite

Idk if there is editor software for the mpk but if there is you should be able to change the type of button it is (toggle/momentary)

I already got myself a Novation Launchkey Mini MK3. From what I can tell it's waay better than akai for live sessions. I literally played a complete song after 20 min of fooling around straight out of the box.

Don’t overthink it. I’m just using Abletons basic looping functionality in session view. Only addition is creating empty clips ahead of time and mapping to session record.
