I already have fl studio 20 producer edition and I registered fl studio fire edition but every time I use my akai fire it stays on generic controller and when I try changing it, akai fire doesn't show up as an option. What do I have to do?

yo. why get fire ed. and not just buy the fruity ed. fire requires the user to always have the controller. or plug it in every 30 days?? that seems kinds stupid.

If you upgrade to the latest you will have the Akai Fire as a controller option in the drop down menu. If you don't upgrade it will not work.

FL Studio Signature edition comes with more sounds/plugins/features. Fire Edition is the basic version of FL Studio. Kind of like Fl Studio Fruity Edition.

Can you step Record say a Melody or bass line rather than playing live record? IE:Press C Key on the fire for step 1 D step 2 etc etc

If you already own FL Studio, just update to 20.0.5 (or later) and you are good to go.

Good to know (as my emails are different). However, doesn't seem to work properly - treating fire like a regular midi controller (all the knobs and buttons are triggering a pitch).
