Found this song two days ago and literally listened to it probably 50 times to soak in the lyrics and listen to the instrumental. Fantastic track, thanks for posting it.

One of my favourite songs, lyrically. Such a strong combination. Im hoping lowkey comes back. I want a Mic Righteous, Lowkey and Akala track. No one gets me feeling the music like those three.

@Sanjinator15 жыл бұрын
@@MrRandomP He's implying, well, stating that he's part of the system that's causing the problem, unknowingly, till he 'woke up'. We all are. At birth, through education, we're taught to live in specifically controlled ways that's somehow offering a false sense of choice or freedom. Majority can't see it. Like breathing, it's become instinctual, too difficult to be aware of the problems at all times, only sometimes. Often leading to a never-ending conflict of conscious thoughts with one's self or an alienation to others when we provoke or challenge, to the forefront, their subconscious thoughts. As it goes...they live, we sleep.

Yeah, it sucks, but good things never last... Lowkey was one of the best... It's a shame how so few people even knew of him because that man truly deserved what he made of himself, a legend...
@linaabojaradehart10 жыл бұрын
Jordan Taylor I kind of respect him for pursuing other things in his life and not getting caught up in the fame and money. His music is legendary. Its rare when i find someone who listens to his stuff!

He is a smart guy, he will be successful pretty much everywhere he goes, it's just people don't understand him, and get the complete opposite idea of what he's getting at... And yeah, it is rare, but it's also rare for people to listen to real music anyway... respect to you

I've seen lots of folks in other threads trying to say that Lowkey dropped out of recording music because he was forced out, but the lyrics here suggest that he wasn't satisfied doing music. Maybe he thought there was some other way he could do more for the cause of human liberation? Or maybe he was just truly too fed up?

UK's Lowkey and Akala you should know US's Immortal Technique & K-Rino beyond these four you don't need no mo' enough knowledge to render obsolete a college if you're truly willing to sit down and listen don't stop there so much you're missin' hate to sound like I'm preachin' but actually apply what they're teachin' look at yourself seek in begin to improve your ways with-in sway a few men, sway a few wo-men no skin off my or your teeth this day then nah since when? who are we kiddin'? hidden answers we seek to questions forbidden yet we must keep, keep, keep. keep on askin' only then can we impact the rest of our kin to a brother, a sister no matter the colour of their skin the love we need's intact already built-in without it that holiday inn, we ain't buildin' keep ya chin up, smile refrain from grinnin' cos we aren't there yet still a while before we be winnin' as we're still sinnin' I'm not saying I always do right but i am beginnin' yo God, yoohoo!? hear my plight me singin' is it alright if I cry too sometime this evenin'? enough of this world so rough, so poo poo a little too tough and a little too cuckoo, to bare with at times got me feelin' like doo doo only thing keeping me going are these rhymes, my family, and my prayers in You You.
