Affordability is starting to slip away in some of the close in neighborhoods. I live in Lakewood area and have watched as homes that used to cost 300-400 thousand just 10 years ago now easily cost 1 million plus. I realize everyone wants to live in the established close in neighborhoods but we are losing some of that affordability we used to have. But everything else you said is true. I lived in other cities but there is just something about this city that is truly unique. There is an energy and vibe I have never felt anywhere else. It's almost like a collective will of the people decided they would build this amazing place in the middle of no where. Thanks for making the video.

AK! I learned a bit about that BIG state of Texas. You make some compelling points. Sounds like earning a good living is very possible there. I have enjoyed HATING the Dallas Cowboys and Mavs for years (me a Suns, Dbacks and Cardinals Fan).

Should one be concerned about hurricane or tornadoes? What do you do in one without a basement? Are the bugs tolerable? How’s the crime?

Is land affordable? Can you park a trailer on your property while building? How much would I need to spend for a 3 br home if I want a good school Dist and low crime?

My biggest take away was the quality of life. People do not realize the quality of life the state of Texas can offer them. Metro areas like Dallas can offer you a lot that many other metro areas do not offer when it comes to the quality of life

How do people deal with the property taxes?
@AKAliRealtor4 жыл бұрын
Most people make it part of their monthly mortgage payment so they aren’t hit with a huge property tax bill to make as one payment.

Is Texas still stressing kids out about passing the STAR test? This is why we didn’t move to Texas because we know so many kids that face anxiety about the test and don’t want to be held back!
@AKAliRealtor5 жыл бұрын
The standardized testing is still happening in public schools, but they are also doing quite a bit to prepare the kids.
