Ehh, the overexposing and audio performance is a deal breaker. I guess the Big 3 have jumped so far ahead in the past 2 years the budget (not so budget now with this one) action camera market just can't keep up anymore.

Yeah, looks like it. Also, because HiSilicon stopped developing their SoCs we no longer have good budget actioncams 😞

I have the brave 7 and love it. I watched some videos from a coworkers gp hero 8 and it looked really grainy? Almost like a old tv set with the rabbit ears. Happy with the crystal clear videos. Every video on my channel except the first one has been shot on my akaso 7!

The OA3 just had a huge price cut (it's currently $222 here in the PH, after online discounts), so even if we could get the Akaso here for 190 / 180, it's not as compelling price-wise.

A second hand GoPro or Osmo Action. As for the two mentioned by you...SJCAMs model is a little better.

I bought the SJCAM SJ10 Pro Dual Screen last year before my vacation, and while the image quality is good in daylight, I find the stabilization not very effective (not very smooth). I should have bought a used DJI Osmo Action 1, but the prices remained high with the risk of dealing with an unreliable seller. Thanks again for your videos.

I agree the Akaso Brave 8 Lite is no Gopro but enjoyed using it for the past few days. Menu not impossible to navigate and once set you are probably never going to change it. I changed the EV setting to -1.0 in full sun to reduce the saturated look of video and probably could go to -2.0. The microphone picks up my voice clearly so not sure what setting you had it on. Excited it will take 4K and 60 frames per second videos but never use since most of my work is 1080p 30 frames per second. It has enough features that I can tap into as my needs expand. For me the camera is a good investment and found it was flexible enough to tweak to my likes. I recommended the Akaso Brave 8 Lite for someone that just wants to have fun and not use it to chase money.

Get an old GoPro or DJI Osmo action. From the mentioned - maybe SJ10 pro

I was going to buy the dji osmo 3 this week because I received my monthly salary this week, but all stocks have been sold out and they have replaced them with the dji osmo action 5 models, and this model is very expensive, my budget is not enough to buy this model, so I think the sj10 pro is the best among these 3 action camera models. I will have one more question is there a difference between the sj8 pro and the sj10 pro in terms of hardware specifications.

The door to type c also does not open in its original frame? Does vertical video work? Is there auto-rotate screen?

No, the door doesn't open. You can shoot vertical video, there is no dedicated mode though. And no, there is no auto rotate for the UI

Very nice reciew!! I was inclined for this, but it seems it's not that great 😀 What would you recommend for a 100€ kind of cheap action camera? It would be for a car action, inside, so no need of a very good EIS, but would like the best quality possible. Also, usually record in 1080p, 60 FPS. Can you guide me through this? Thanks, and keep it up!

I have the Akaso Brave 8 lite its ok but in all honesty I would not recommend it. The battery charge indicator on mine for what ever reason stays frozen and its all guess work how much charge there is left. The date format doesn't support the UK standard DD/MM/YYYY and Akaso were no help except "Sorry, it doesn't do that" which pretty much most other Action cameras do. Video quality is ok to be fair not Gopro but least its acceptable in my opinion. The plastic enclosure case feels quite cheap doesn't feel like it will go the distance nothing broke yet though. As I have had bad experiences in the past with glitchy Akaso Cameras I would avoid this brand in the future.

for me, if can buy it. because, that only can afford 😂 of my money and I can live with the pro and con of the camera. also I'm still love my akaso brave 7 ver. 2 and I'm very content its feature and happy because that the only afford. maybe the deal breaker for me of not buying this latest version is price, compatiblity of current accessories like my boya mic, and if durability of camera.

Image quality looks fine, I wouldn't even tell you are using some cheap action cam for vlogging. So it's good enough 😅

GoPro , DJI and Insta360 have superb models. Higher resolutions and frame rates mayead to overheating though

I bought the Brave 8 as an alternative to the GoPro. I've had a couple of GoPro's throughout the years and in fairness to them, they've been great. But of recent, I can no longer justify the cost of them. I was initially impressed with the amount of accessories that came with my Brave 8 for the price I paid (£199.99) considering the lack of accessories you get with a GP. After a few months of using my Brave 8 now, however, I gotta confess. It's a tragic excuse of an action camera. The onboard microphone is terrible, I purchased Akaso's external USB-C Mic in the hope of improving audio quality and all that does is pick up wind noise while I'm cycling (my GoPro's were never effected to the levels the Brave 8 is) the sharpness and the clarity of the recording is also extremely poor. Images never appear sharp or have any defined focal point, the same can be said for the videos.

🫤 Sorry to hear about this. Akaso is no longer the company it used to be. This is why I rarely dare tomrecommend anything different to GoPro or DJI Osmo Action

With the high base price I bet it'll be continually on 50% discount or big coupon code on amazon soon. That mic sound is really poor, I don't know how the budget cams are still so bad at audio.

bruh you could just get osmo action 4 for 90 more dollars at $299 paying 199 for a camera thats does worse than a 2018 camera (osmo 1) is simply not woth 199 or 209
