My favorite story was when he took a drag from a cigarette and winked at the two women of "questionable morals" from the book "Great Art Thou O Lord!" I suggest reading it, its amazing! He could put people to shame and lead them to repentance in the silliest and simplest ways. Sometimes taking blame for things he did not do to lead people to humility and further repentance... This man was so eccentric! I hope America is blessed with someone like this although most wont welcome him/her due to the nature of fools for Christ.. God bless you Book of Akathists :-)

Reading the biography “Great Art Thou, Oh Lord”, a compilation of stories of him and his life. He would often tell people “GET ON YOUR KNEES!” As if there was a force beyond his own commanding it, even powerful sinister people would submit. In some cases this might have been the only time such people showed humility.
