Its actually a really sad song and there is another version called unfinished version .. unfinished meaning its just her sitting on the floor singing with only piano .. at the end she is crying .. its an amazing version.

All BabyMetal songs are insane :-) Gimmie Chocolate is a early video and for many people their first introduction to BabyMetal. It is very poppy and for many people after watching that one video see BabyMetal as a gimmick and a 'idol' band with the grandiose pronouncement: "That's not metal." This is fair enough but when the enlightened people start to watch other performances they realise how their first assessment was incorrect. As you have not experienced the 'poppier 'side of BabyMetal, don't worry it is still good. Moa and Yui are an essential part of BabyMetal and have their own songs. They are known as Black BabyMetal. Ijime, Dame, Zettai is a good song for you to watch next. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKCQkJaYm8mlj6c You are well late to BabyMetal unfortunately. We are waiting for the third CD which will be Moa and Su only as Yui has left due to continuing ill health. During the 2018 tour, it was still not known if Yui would be well enough to return to the group so BabyMetal went on tour without her. This caused much dismay among fans.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🔥 🔴 🌙 🔥 The main difference between the Budokan Red Night (March 1st, 2014) and Black Night (March 2nd, 2014) was the addition of two songs to the setlist on the second night. They were 'Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai' with all three members, and another Su solo song, 'No Rain, No Rainbow'. The performances of 'Rondo of Nightmare' and 'Akatsuki' were very similar. Since there are good Black Night versions on KZbin that don't usually get blocked, those are often recommended. 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' at Sonisphere UK is a must see. They had a couple of small shows in France and Germany leading up to this, but Sonisphere is a huge UK metal festival. Which they crushed. With a crowd that, for the most part, had no idea who or what BABYMETAL was before that day. : )

I would like to add that those "small shows in France and Germany" where Legend Y and Legend M: Yui and Moas 15th birthdays! Yui is the first of them to sing Headbanger! solo on stage. ( Yes! shy little Yui solo singing!)

You were right, two different nights, Red Night and Black Night. Ozzy Osbourne attended the Red Night of this Concert but the Black Night Blue-ray DVD toped the Oricon chart at #1 (Red Night was #3). Red night is also where Yuimetal fell off stage but came back for the next song and Moa also slipped and fell but was ok. Also, all the Red Night people got a Neck Corset (neckbrace) with their tickets as that show was called the Corsets Festival..probably why there are a lot more views for the Red Night than the Black Night. Don't know who mentioned it was a ballad, most have been some misunderstanding. :-) Yes, it was two days at Budokan, Red Night and Black Night. It's a reference to X-Japan I believe, not sure why they used colors for their shows. The Sonisphere performance was how the west got to know Babymetal is not just 3 girls but the real deal. It's the last song in their set. It's a good song and a great performance. And a victory. Babymetal can be poppy, Gimme Chocolate is more poppy. Also: K-Pop is Korean Pop and Babymetal is from Japan, so it's common to call it J-Pop. Some people would be way more annoyed you said K-Pop than that Babymetal has poppy elements. :-)

Yep, there was two days in the Tokyo Budokan The real difference is the songs and editing, also an anecdote: In the 1st night in the song "Headbanger" Yui gets to enthusiastic running on the stage and falls to the ground (no damage fortunately) The falls do not appears in the edition of course I think this song is a tribute to X-japan "Kurenai". Not only have some elements in common, also the name it´s very similar (紅月 red moon, Kurenai: 紅 is "crimson") Babymetal do a lot of tributes to X-Japan, but you must know X-Japan to catch them. Some examples are the neck protector in "Headbanger" because Yoshiki (founder, dummer and composer of X-Japan) wears one after years of banging drums, also ending some concerts with a big gong and of course the yell "We are Babymetal" who is an obviously reference to "We Are X"

i never suggest Gimme Choco to a fellow metalhead(at least till they understand what BABYMETAL stands for) it was exactly this track that put me off and made me miss out on years of enjoyment(stupid elitist thinking on my side), but now i listen to it frequently :'D next should be, as you said Ijime, Dame, Zettai at sonisphere, it's one of their most important/iconic performances in the west, they've gained a huge load of fans and recognition over exactly this one! cheers

@@DEATHMASK. yeah, it took me 3 years to realize how dumb i actually was (GC in 2014, and youtube only convinced me in late 2017 with The One MV) and GC stories similar to ours are quite typical, we're not alone with that :'D i nearly listen to BABYMETAL only since rediscovering them xD Saw them live in Innsbruck last year and I'm about to fly over to japan in less than a month for all the big Shows (2x Yokohama and 2x Nagoya) Kitsune up!

Hey MetalBreakdown! Great choice on Akatsuki, and awesome reaction! So for the songs you mentioned at the end to do next, I would highly recommend "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" - Sonisphere UK 2014 as it was their real breakout show in the west, I think you'll like it, the translated title is "No More Bullying Forever". "Headbanger!" is pretty good and you might like it, it's about a girl going to her first metal concert on her 15th birthday. "Gimme Chocolate" is the song everyone sends around to all their friends to shock them, you get a lot of WTF reactions from people who have never seen Babymetal before and the reason why I don't think anyone has recommended it to you is you probably won't like it. "Catch Me If You Can" is the most metal song you'll ever hear about a game of hide and seek, it's poppy but not as poppy as GC so if you're going to like either then it's probably going to be this one.

I see you already did rondo, ijime, tales... try "amore" and "road of resistance". this is one of their best songs, it gets me all the time, the melody is very sad, the riffs are great, the drumming is great, she sings it perfeclty, it's both a sad and powerful song. it gives me goosebumps.

Babymetal has several different shows (on nights) that they do. Black Night is men only, Red Night is women only, on White Night the fans are expected to show up on corpse paint, Silver Night is for seniors and young children and Gold Night is for teens. Japan is unique you couldn't do this anywhere else.

The tempo at the beginning is quite a bit different from how it is in the studio track, yet Su-metal makes it sound so perfect as if that was how it was all along. She's easily one of the top 10 greatest vocalists of all time, up there with Freddie Mercury, Rob Halford, Tupac, and Paul Stanley.
