These so called regional sittings help to stress the point that Uganda must adopt a Federal System of governance . What these people are doing is proof that each of these regions needs its own layer of parliamentary democracy

The government operates differently. If those very individuals were told to go to Gulu using their own money 90% would refuse. They would rather use the funds to solve real problems like solving the Kitezi problem. Since they do not suffer the consequences of such actions they proceed to spend as they wish after all there is no threat of bankruptcy but rather taxing more and more from the tax payer such budgets are passed and shamelessly Operated. Before making such foolish decisions do they even make cost benefit analysis? Is the price worth the benefit? Would you pay such a price for that benefit with your own money? If Uganda was a company she would have gone bankrupt many years back but since the tax money is still able to squeeze taxes from people who cannot make such stupid decisions and survive, the government survives.

Banange. The whole concept of a parliament or an MP is to represent the people of his or her region in the central body. The Mp’s of Gulu are charged with bringing the issues of the area on floor of parliament. Not carrying the floor of parliament to the area. I have never seen stupidity like this. Portrayed on national tv for the whole world to see.
