A very nice technique, provided the attacker waits for you to complete the technique and does not use his left hand to attack immediately towards the head or neck.

It's demonstration of a very dangerous technique. He's teaching. If you have felt the technique, the last thing you would be doing is anything but complying, or getting your arm broken. I've practiced it many times. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Some techniques need to be sloe to practice safely. Your comment gives away your ignorance, KZbin warrior.

I have practiced submission wrestling for 18 years. I can see how this would work with the opponents hand around your head/neck from some distance as long as he is not white knuckling it - or at the moment of his relaxation- , if you float the first hand up and bait as if you are trying to push away his grabbing hand, and then committing to the lock.

@@AkbanOrg Update: i've tried this out in 4 sparring sessions now. I would likely need some hands on instruction and honestly just time to drill it to find out it's intricacies to make it work flawlessly, but even when I don't get it, there usually is an easy transition to the russian tie from it.

How do you protect from strike to right ear when you start the arm lock?
@josephmalone253 Жыл бұрын
You mean like a left hook when Tori is entering? At close range striking is ineffective. Tori changes distance from striking range to grappling range. That's about it. To elaborate he moves fast. Once he the applies the lock he is safe from a strike but left hand may attempt a grab or choke. He moves in quick, applies lock, then moves out quick. To switch thinking from strike to grapple to strike is too much for uke to process. The windows of opportunity are missed.
@gwozdz85 Жыл бұрын
@@josephmalone253 Yes - just before step 2 (2:06 in the video) when Mr. Seriff is closing distance. Seems natural to strike when oponent is closing distance. Will need to check it in practice during sparring. thanks for explanation!

Nobody expects to be grabbed by the face or chest in a fight , but its devistating you can also jump a bit afther grab , that way youll make sure he wont counter atack , he will be stunned like WTF also the pain , he will focus on escaping wont have protection for the comming strike
