What’s impressive is I have not managed to find anywhere…google or KZbin or anywhere at all….how you go about manually recording an event that happens in front of you. What do you do? Can you talk to it? Is there a button to press? Nobody tells you if that’s possible….anywhere. The most basic function a dashcam should have and no one mentions it on road angel stuff.

would a budget action camera do the same thing? I am wondering if that is a versatile option

Not really. This has a lot of driving safety related features.
