12:26 *The Religious Subtext of Gyromite* Author: Akfamilyhome Gyromite is a game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1985. As a game release that primarily targets the American market, it is noteworthy that while Nintendo's American subsidiary imposes strict rules prohibiting the depiction of religion, among other types of content considered to be non-family-friendly, the usage of the R.O.B the Robot peripheral in conjunction with the game appears to nonetheless provide hints of religious references. Within the game world, the player assumes control of Professor Hector, whose path is blocked by a colored gate immediately at the beginning of the first level. As the professor character can only assume two degrees of movement on a 2D plane (walking to the left and walking to the right), it can be presumed that he is essentially trapped in an enclosed space. To escape, he must rely on the help of R.O.B the Robot, an entity that itself is not present in the game world, but instead existing in the real world alongside the player, influencing the outcome of the game through manipulating the controller. Generally, player characters in a video game are not aware of the existence of manipulation by a player in the real world, with the only exceptions being fourth wall breaks in the dialogue for comedic effect. In Super Paper Mario (2007), the in-game character Bestovious refers to the real-world player as "the great being that watches us". However, this dialogue is not essential for the progression of the game plot or gameplay. In comparison, during a game of Gyromite, the professor turns to face the screen directly, as if looking outside of the boundaries of the in-game universe and towards R.O.B the Robot for assistance. The player, in turn, is given control of R.O.B. The hierarchy of the player issuing commands to R.O.B the Robot, which in turn influences the game world by manipulating the second controller is reminiscent of those seen in other religions, similar to how God issues commands dude forget the Scott The Woz cameo i'm way more interested in this thesis being finished in the future

I also adore the famicom color scheme over the NES color scheme, I've never seen it as "toy like" more so as a elegant system like the game and watch. Rob nowadays its definitely more of a figurine to collect since on its own it has a really appealing design outside of its functionality.

@@Grane1234 that could be a feature, a built in vacuum, my idea was essentially the same model but bigger, smash size at least, it would fight back in a similar manner but without all the lasers (best be at least somewhat realistic) you know a self defense protocol if struck by someone unregistered as a friend, it could also move and pick up stuff or bring you something if requested, can be voice commanded, gyroscopically stable, perfect for rough terrain and carrying something fragile (or highly volatile) along with hands that can switch between Gyromite bumpers and Stack Up claws, sensors on the inside of the hands telling R.O.B. how soft or hard to hold on to an object without breaking it, strong enough to lift 500 pounds and can still play Gyromite and Stack Up only much more efficiently then before, and perhaps even have an app for your phone or Nintendo Switch that would act like a remote control and a way to program R.O.B. to do more advanced things or help it understand and even identify whether or not something is poisonous to humans and would also come with an emergency failsafe shutdown, turning him off incase something... terrible happens.
