The Rugarat you need an audio interface bro. Or you can get a usb mic. But I wouldn’t recommend it. Just get a focusrite interface and get this mic. And then xlr cable,mic stand, pop filter. And that should be enough to get you started assuming you already have a computer and a DAW.

xand anp Hey there, I have worked with the p420 before, and I can say that depending on what your doing the p220 will most likely get everything you need done. The p420 has a second diaphram which allows you to do several other polar patterns. As far as i know, that's the only major difference. In my opinion if the p220 doesn't get the job done for you, you should probably step into the next price level. Hope this helps, I encourage you to do more research aswell! -Cole

I would personally say that the AKG P220 is better than the Audio Texhnica AT2020 but they are both on the same playing field, if you already have the at2020 I would say you aren't missing much, if it's between buying them I would go with the p220 hands down, shock mount, bass roll off and it handles a higher Sound Pressure Level. In my opinion the sound quality is a Smidge better on this one but nothing major. Not to say I don't like Audio Technica, I have a set of their headphones that work great but I prefer the AKG Mic.

Right ... actually, at2020, I think a lot without body, without vollume, loses a lot in the bass ... I'm looking for a microphone, keep the bass ... my voice is serious, and I feel that at2020 does not leave my bass appear...

I'm sorry, because of so many questions ... I see that the p420 has a sensitivity of 28mv / pa, and the p220 has a sensitivity of 20mv / pa, this is related to gain in capture, would p420 have more volume? thank you
