As someone with experience with a parametric eq it is very easy to trigger emotions with certain eq settings and frequency signatures. A compressor is used to make things that aren't loud be perceived as louder. All of this for monetary gain and a sometimes-devilish enjoyment and pastime. Imagine the amount of people who tried to pursue a career in music and failed due to listening to someone famous when they were young. Your brain and heart becomes cluttered and you indulge in a doubtful thing.

On the positive side music can be used to beautify our voices when reciting Qur'an: l-Bara ibn ‘Azib reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Beautify the Quran with your voices.” Source: Sunan Abī Dāwūd 1468

Muslim for 10 yrs now and music was undoubtedly the hardware thing to give up. I slip up sometimes still only when I’m upset but it needs to stop! Doesn’t help that the Muslim in my family don’t practice they smoke they take drugs.. they listen to music.. they even question basic things that all Muslim know to be 100% true but I myself need to surround myself around better or practicing Muslim. It’s all on ME
@HalalHighlights12 күн бұрын
Yup definitely , who you surround yourself definitely matters , when you leave a bad habit you should first replace it with something better , for eg Replace music with Quran , if it is hard for you to focus on quran , you can listen to nasheed or My personal best advice is to Remove Smart Devices like (smart phone, laptop, tv ) , dont use them for like 7 days , afterwards you will be more mindful and Ask the Almighty God for the best

Well it depends on the person music has its benefits and music hass risks. It has been reported that the prophet Peace be upon him listens to poetry. And he enjoyed the drums within the weddings. As a human being he is. You have to be responsible

No brother, it uses musical instruments which is explicitly prohibited in authentic Hadith except the ‘duff’…some muslims will try to justify the use of musical instruments, but if we are sincere, there’s no way around it…
