I enjoyed this session very much mostly because the panelist were connected to the people , they were writing about and also.we're original and Frank in expressing ideas . In Pakistan , it is difficult to understand current Hindi , but still I could follow the context . We like the romanticism and sweetness of Hindi words like Dharti , Aakash , Gagan, Sagar etc . But the Hindi spoken by Amitabh is difficult to follow. Urdu and Hindi are similar , but different languages . We should stop pretending . I have lived among Indians in Saudi Arabia and I observed that Muslims from anywhere in India _ South, North, East and West _ spoke better Urdu compared to non Muslims. Even Tamils spoke better Urdu. However South Indians living in Delhi spoke good Urdu.

durust baat kahi hai aone, par mera kehna sirf itna hai, aapke zariye se, ki bolne ki bhasha 'hindustani' hai, aur 'hindustani' (hindi, urdu aur anek kayi boliyo se bani hai) constitution recognise karte hai. 'Hindi' ek likhit, print medium, ki zubaan hai, uske lafza bolne se zyaada likhne ke liye bane hain. Bhasha dil ki zubaan rahe, aapka khud ka andaz-e-bayan rahe toh jeebein pyaar karna seekh jaayengi aur dil bolna, fir bhasha toh sirf ek dhwani hai, dil ki awaaz. Lafzon ka kya hai...

Saurabh Dwivedi ji jis tarah se Lakshya movie ke dialogue "mai ghaas kaatne wala banu lekin achchha banu..." ko question karne wali madam ke English vs Hindi ke sandarbh me quote kar rahe hain, jabki 'ghaas kaatne wala' hone ko kahi na kahi hamare samaj ke stereo type me ek kamtar ya garhit kaam ki tarah mana ja sakta hai-- aur usi sense me ye dialouge justify kiya gaya hai, usse Hindi bhasha ko connect ya justify kar rahe hain. Yah sirf apne statement me ek unexpected anuthi baat ko quote karne ki garaj se barti hui baat lag rahi hai. Bhasha ke vishay me vishesh gyan aur pakad rakhne wale log jab aesi "intellectual" discussion karein, usme ek maryada yah avashya bani rahe ki kisi bhi bhasha ko kisi dusri bhasha se kamtar ya kamzor nahi batayi jaye. Bhasha chahe Hindi, French, German, Italian koi bhi ho sirf vicharon ke sampreshan ka hetu hain, isme shakti pradarshan ya samrthya ka nirnay karna jayaz nahi hai.

Ignoring the entire discourse and using language usage as proof of purity is why Hindi isn't prospering. Kyunki sab vartalaab ko nazar andaaz karke sirf bhasha ki shuddhata ko zaada mehtva dete hai isiliye humaari bhasha ka badhaav nahi ho raha hai.
