I'm fairly certain that my interpretation of the video and lyrics is stupid but here we go: The story starts with a girl on her daily commute. On the route she takes, there's a train that she always has to wait for to pass. Each day, she contemplates walking out onto the tracks. One rainy day, as she waits for the train, the girl is pulled from her suicidal thoughts when she notices a shadow next to hers. She looks up to see a boy beside her, holding out an umbrella. The boy is charismatic, attempting to crack jokes and make conversation as they wait for the train to pass. This becomes a daily occurrence, a part of the route that the girl takes. She sees the boy's shadow walk up and they wait for the train together, with him always trying to chat with her. She never gives the small talk much thought, just seeing it as a stranger trying to be friendly, not realizing that his presence distracted her from her suicidal thoughts. Eventually, the girl hears news that the boy with the umbrella committed suicide by walking out in front of the train. Upon hearing the news, she realizes that he faced the same dilemma as her, but hid his sadness behind smiles and laughter. The girl desperately tries to think back to the moments they shared and the words he said to her but, since she never gave their exchanges much significance, she can hardly remember them at all.

I think that she tried to commit suicide and he pushed her away from getting hit 1:37,she lied and said she was ok just like him 0:57 and his last words were probably *I love you pretty abvious* he cared about her and was sad he had to leave her but he put a smile on his face 1:54 they both were breaking 1:00-1:04, 2:48-2:55. I think it’s pretty cool how the tapes are like the rail road tracks 2:21,the flowers dies in 0:46 and how it’s in the glass in 0:51 and there are other parts like that, sorry off topic. I know I might be a bit late but my theory for this would be that the girl tried to commit suicide but the male would always stop her and she'd only think about herself until one day HE actually suicides and the 'I can't remember what was said' Since she can't remember she thinks that her male friend said it was her fault and now false imagery keeps her from moving forward.

After watching this video, I'm guessing it is a story about a couple. The boy died, saving the girl from the train. And everywhere the girl go, she always saw her partner who already died, saving her. Then, she wants to replay her life, before her beloved die. And this song is her feelings of wanting to like 'flashback'. (please reply if you know the real meaning of this video....... Not entirely certain of the meaning of the song, but it sounds like this girl was depressed and lonely, then she befriended a boy who made her smile and laugh. Possibly he saved her from committing suicide? They appear to be childhood friends or close friends. The two look like they are adolescents, maybe middle school or early high school? Then something happened, a car accident perhaps, and the boy dies in front of her. Her only friend, the only one who brought joy to her life, was brutally killed in front of her. Of course she snaps. In her grief, she starts to hallucinate seeing him everywhere and desperately wishes she could turn back time. Not only that, but survivor's guilt overwhelms her and she mistakenly believes the boy's spirit is angry with her and blames her for his death for some reason. She thinks he is mocking her by laughing at her, that the laugh/smile he gave her right before dying was fake and malicious. She keeps seeing his laughing face everywhere, becoming paranoid. What she doesn't understand is that his dying laugh/smile wasn't meant to be mocking or full of contempt. He was genuinely smiling at her, trying to comfort her even as he lay on the ground bleeding and probably in great pain. The girl continues to hallucinate and chase illusions of the boy, clinging to memories of him and obsessing over the meaning of his cryptic dying laugh. While she believes the boy's spirit hates her, in reality his spirit doesn't hate her at all. In fact, it's the opposite. He wants her to move on with her life and be happy and not obsess over him. At the end we see the sneakers of the boy's spirit, perhaps arriving to try and save his friend from her grief-induced paranoia and guilt. That's just my interpretation though.
