Correct! It's because it's conductive. You need to touch it to add the conductance to the nib. Most tough screens now act on the conductivity of your fingers which is why water on the screen can make it hard to use (like when it's raining)

Aki!! The reason the smartphone pen/potato chip grabber didn't work was because you needed to grip onto the metal parts on the sides. Your skin or blood has metal/ iron in so it is able to link to circuits. Hope this helped, thanks!

I've actually had mirror glasses before! I have scoliosis and I got some so that when I'm lying in bed, my neck isn't propped up strangely if I wanna look at my phone or something. It takes the strain off of your neck when you wanna do something while lying down, which could minimize neck pain, so it can be pretty practical. Come to think of it, I should try to find mine.
