her “not leaving” part kinda applies to all her past relationships. with Pete is a big example. the main reason she left was bc she wasn’t ready to leave mac behind completely but also because commitment has always been very touchy for her. so i think that part in the song is saying that she’s trying not to be that way now that she’s married to dalton. like she doesn’t wanna keep repeating her past decisions

pov is kinda lo-fi, which is a genre known to have the same calming instrumental looped over and over, not really adding anything as it goes on. the song relies on Ariana's vocals & harmonies alone, which drives the song, instead of the instrumental :)
