Thanks for the translation, the song is amazing, Akiko Shikata is amazing and that's two very good reasons for owning the album I have in my shelf. It's wonderful how it feels like these songs form some kind of story.

Lyendith Couldn't agree more. There is a certain difference between regular music you hear every day and the performances you might hear at large concert halls or something similar. But I have always thought that Shikata's music surpasses both and opens a new genre and world to enter. Since I've been working a lot with story/plot writing I'm always listening to her songs and trying to find some inner meaning, story or just a feeling it emits. It's truly a great source of inspiration for those who seek it :)

Lia W The lyrics to these two songs contain zero references to Umineko's events, and Shikata wrote in her personal blog that the only one in which she poured her feelings about the episodes she had completed by the time she started working in Harmonia was Umineko -Rengoku-. Uzumebi is about the feelings a scorned woman has after her love was betrayed, while this song is about the eternal torment inflicted over a person who visited the ruins from a destroyed kingdom, which was inspired by the volcanic eruption that buried Pompeii. Is that enough for you, or are you still going to believe the baseless lies people post in the internet?

It means that she used the feelings and impressions she got from finishing Umineko's fourth episode as the basis for composing Rengoku. Nothing like that was mentioned either for Uzumebi or this song.
