comment guidelines for those unaware: -only discuss things that they’ve already seen, nothing upcoming. it’s fine to remind them of certain things after the fact but don’t point out specific details to note that they haven’t on their own. -do not confirm or deny theories that they have. they will figure it out. -do not explain things that the show itself will tell them later on. -lastly, PLEASE try not give bias opinions on upcoming events or characters. let them decide for themselves who they’ll like or dislike. even ones such as “wait until you meet!…” is toeing the line. they would have no idea who that person was if they were watching on their own right? so let’s not set expectations that they otherwise wouldn’t have. i know we’re all excited to see their reactions but they won’t be genuine if the guys already know what to expect. comments that break the rules have to be removed and that sucks so please be careful. thanks guys!

@alexschwarz47493 жыл бұрын
@Lady Seashell Bikini I don't think you can say that about spirits in general. If anything they see only in shades of grey. For us, there seems to be a clear right versus wrong here, with the fire nation being conquerors and the other nations being on the defense. In reality, war circumstances are often far more complex and it's simplified here for story purposes. Even with the simplified situation thou we only see it through the lens of the protagonists, adapting that as our perspective. From a truly neutral position, observing stuff from the outside Wan Shi Tongs take totally makes sense. It also goes along with the philosophies of other wise characters (not going to name anyone here) That the arts don't belong to anyone nation, but in extension to that, there's an unspoken agreement to not abuse said art/knowledge for war purposes.

Since everyone else already commented on the sand bending thing, (like 70% of the comments lol)... I'll ask you guys if you think Wan Shi Tong is a "bad guy". Like these kids broke into your house, misused your stuff, lied to you, and beat you in your own house. Mind you someone else stole info from his house to kill the ocean spirit and burned a whole department of his library and he literally told these kids not to use it for violent reasons when he allowed them to stay. Personally not shocked he doesn't like humans especially after that.

I was lucky enough to witness a solar eclipse. It was amazing! The sky didn't go completely dark like it would in the middle of the night; it looked more like the sky you would see around 5 am with just enough sunlight to make long shadows on the ground. What was really freaky was hearing all of the crickets chirping so loudly in the middle of the day. When the sun came back, they stopped.
@alharairah22143 жыл бұрын
Also, when asking Siri about a solar eclipse - whether you can see a solar eclipse or not in the real world entirely depends on where in the world you are. As the moon passes before the sun during a total eclipse, the shadow cast occurs along a very narrow path (the path of totality). A partial solar eclipse is visible in a wider band outside the path of totality. Of course partial eclipses (with no total coverage) occur more often than total ones because of differences between the Earth's orbital tilt around the sun and the tilt of the moon's orbit around the planet. There are about 2 to 5 solar eclipses every year. Of course for a fantasy show (and a kids' show) they simplify the astronomy.
