Josh, yeah, we LDS folk can be pretty weird, sometimes, but I will say this: life is about what you make of it. I've known people who absolutely loved BYU, and some who absolutely hated it. Personally, I found the people to be friendly and generally good, though there were (as with any group of people) problems. BYU's got a pretty good MBA program, and it's at a reasonable cost, all things considered. If you do end up there, just roll with it, and I think you'll have a great time. :)

Josh- I’m LDS from the deep Deep South... Florida. I went to BYU after serving a two year mission in New York State. I studied illustration and became a graphic designer. I was at BYU in the mid 70s. Running into Mormons in Florida isn’t odd... there are over 165,000. I did have friends in high school that wondered why I was planning on going to BYU. I liked the idea of being surrounded by fellow LDS. Especially GIRLS! The one reason why I didn’t do as well grade wise was dating. I graduated from BYU, stopped going to church halfway through my time there. I still encourage anyone who considers the school to attend, even though I am not of the faith anymore. If you're at all concerned about being a non mormon at BYU, don't be. The judgemental people will eat themselves up and you'll be left with a plethora of kind people all throughout the school. Don't be afraid to tell people no to their missionary advances. You'll be much happier with that boundary established.

I wonder if it is a Word Document they just keep adding to? It appears to be hard to believe? But if it floats their boats? If they like it? Good for them. But it is one of those churches that try to extract mo ey from their members under threat of not getting the best place in Heaven unless they can extract 10% of their members' worldly wealth. @@johnharvey4448 I took a couple classes there, and I could have been kicked out of my program at anytime for my relationship with my girlfriend.

How do you only have like a hundred subs? This video was informative and of nice quality. Hope to see this channel grow! :)

Thank you so much; that is so kind of you! I was never actually out to get views or subscribers-this is merely a university Communications class project that has gotten a lot more exposure than I ever imagined possible. I ought to keep adding content to my channel (which is just a vessel for me to share a handful of projects). Thanks for your kind words; best!

I live in salt lake and always felt kind of "bad" for their athletes. I'm sure they have their reasons, but it's just weird.

I am a mormon convert but i was surprised of this video..because mormons are very receptive to anyone..i am just wondering how come it happens in BYU about the treatment to non-LDS students...I Love LDS Church it is my life...

Raul Velarde Thank you for watching the video and for your insight. I’m not sure I understand your question. Could you please clarify a bit, and I’d be happy to give my thoughts.
