I've been on ADL class DMU's when I was young and I love them so much because the seats on them are very comfy and they're a very comfortable ride. ADL class DMU's are the best trains ever and they're my number 1 favourite.

@TrainsNZ - 60 Kph on the branch, with speed restrictions at some crossings and built up areas. Video looks faster than it is! (Could be as this was shot on phone and not proper video camera as others have been!)

There is a video I shot in October last year (Onehunga Revisited) which shows the OHL and signals on the branch. I must try and get some more videos uploaded again soon though! Things are changing all the time!

@Daikenboy - If it's one thing the DMU's are susceptible to, it's locking up in wet conditions, especially in a light shower after a dry spell. It's knowing how to control them ;) (Needless to say I didn't put those flats there!!!!)

I would have thought those idiots would have sorted that junction out by now. Did the driver on this train log in he repair log book the flats on the lead unit? The driver is also breaking the law by videoing this. Must be one of them pom imports?

Paul Carpenter... You a train driver, mate? Because I'll tell you what... I was the driver! I'm in charge of my train, and if I feel it is safe to set up video equipment in my cab, that's up to me. For the record, the flats were recorded in the 54D repair book, and the unit had been deemed ok to run until it could get into the wheel lathe. As for the junction, I can't comment on that because that comes under networks jurisdiction! So yeah, I'd appreciate you not telling me how I should do my job, thanks!
