ABOUT TURGUN ALIMATOV.
Turgun Alimatov (January 20, 1922, Keles - December 17, 2008, Tashkent) - famous Uzbek national musician and composer, People's Artist of Uzbekistan.
Turgun Alimatov was born on January 20, 1922 in the village of Keles, Tashkent region. After taking his first music lessons from his father, in 1937-40 he joined the music circle at the working faculty of the Tashkent Pedagogical Institute and learned the secrets of music.
Turgun Alimatov is a participant of the Second World War. After the war, he worked as a musician at the Young Spectators' Theater, the Muqimi Musical Drama Theater, and for many years in the orchestra of folk instruments at the Uzbek Radio.
Turgun Alimatov's career began in 1970 and was directly connected with the Maqom ensemble. As a member of this creative team, he was particularly active in recording for the golden fund of our national musical treasury unique samples of status in the Shashmaqomturkum, on the Fergana-Tashkent road, which is our priceless spiritual treasure. Classical music samples such as "Dutor navosi", "Tanovar", "Chorgoh", "Munojot", "Navruz Ajam", "Buzruk", "Kuygay" performed by Turgun Alimatov, who has his own unique style of music. has taken a deep place in the hearts of our people. For a quarter of a century, he taught at the Uzbek State Conservatory. Turgun Alimatov died on December 17, 2008 at the age of 86 in Tashkent.
