AKMU are actually siblings. The boy is the elder one, and he's responsible for composing and directing all the songs. They often argue but also have a close sibling relationship, often playfully teasing or ignoring each other, which they sometimes display in the media. By the way, the music sampled in "오랜 날 오랜 밤" is George Winston's "Canon by Pachelbel."

They won K-pop star 2 in 2012 and were signed to YG Entertainment afterwards. I think they were 16 and 14 when on the show. They were praised by JYP and YG both while on the show and their talent was basically seen from the very moment they first performed.
