I'm passing on Black Powder for a lot of reasons,of which this Hand to Hand seems dreadful. I'm used to having Melee settled in one dice roll using a pair of ten sided dice, percentages. The results are straightforward with the losed retreating and the winner possibly disordered or possibly in pursuit! In the case of an infantry unit being in melee with say two other infantry units, the status points and numbers and positioing etc are all modifiers to the status points and then with one dice roll the results. No extra fiddling No or few arguments

You might have played a larger scale game like Naps battles where each turn is 30 Minutes but Black powder is only a few minutes so melee could go on for a few turns

How does it work with big combat engagements when for example 4 unots are fighting. Do i have to fight with all my unots or maybe i Just have to pick one of them? Because i do not know what to do in such situations when i and my opponent have 2 units on each side.

Fight one unit against one unit as individual units using flank support plus 1, one can't fight 2 becuase as you have said it's 2 on 2 so do the combat for one unit then carry on after that, hope this can help

TBH I think Black Powder need to played at 15mm or less. The rules designers say it was created for 28mm on 6 foot by 8 foot plus tables. This comment is no longer in the 2nd edition rules.

Yes, But there is almost No changes in version 2 just re written layed out differently new art and scenarios,, Major change was the Commanders rule
