There is actually nothing wrong with comedy on altars.. its a physiological way of relieving stress.. church is spiritual and physchological. Some members go through a lot and sometimes comedy helps to calm the mind first, if comedy wasn't proper, God wouldn't "laugh" in heaven as stated in psalm.

This is the height of canality in today's modern penticostal churches. The amazing thing is that this can clearly seen even by unbelievers. No man (pastor etc.) can outgrows the scriptures. Jesus said ' as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be at the coming of the Lord. Men are now laughing at the gospel just like the days of Noah. Evidently God's judgement will also visit the same as it did in the days Noah.

Prayer, offertory, fasting and the rest won't solve psychological problems. Besides, not all people can afford to attend such programs. If the church is doing it, it's fine. Are "get togethers or love feasts" supposed to be held in the church? Communion service is what we know but love feasts are not bad. So, I think this also help church members.
