Pouco antes da ascenção dos Racionais Mc's, as rádios tocavam apenas músicas entorno de 4 minutos ou menos, no máximo 5 minutos. Até que veio racionais com músicas de 8, 9, 10 minutos, as pessoas pediam muito para tocar nas rádios e todos sabiam cantar Racionais do início ao fim.
