Hi Alex, habe seit kurzem einen BMW M 240i Cabrio OPF und brauche mehr Sound 😊. Klappensteuerung von ASR hab ich schon verbaut, aber ich brauche noch deutlich mehr Sound😊. Bin vom Sound deines 2er voll begeistert. Hab gelesen,dass du das nach deinen Wünschen hast machen lassen. Kannst du bitte sagen, was gemacht wurde und bei wem?

Nice theory... But its a complete new exhaust 3,5" front to rear with a custom built rear silencer with valve.

Hey man I currently have a 340i it is literally a week old and i wanna new exhaust would you mind telling me what you did. it sounds great and i love how its valved so u have a bit of control of the loudness. I was supposed to get a 240 but it was too much. the car looks fire just please when you get a chance if you could tell me what you have done it would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I get he doesn't want to share the exact setup because of the work he put in but isn't the car community about helping each other. We all die and leave these things behind so why be stingy?? Paolo Marinaro different engine, m2 uses the same platform as m135/235i with an m3 crank and different turbo (N55) m240i uses a B58 engine

Klingt sehr geil. Zum TÜV brauchste damit aber nicht zu fahren. Leider sind ja seit 06/2016 Klappenauspuffanlagen bei denen der Auspuff lauter wird nicht mehr erlaubt. Und M240er von vor 06/2016 gibt es leider nicht. Also alle 2 Jahre auf Original umbauen und hoffen, dass die Polizei es nicht sieht. Ziemlich nervig...

Grundsätzlich ist das richtig. Entscheidend jedoch hier ist grundsätzlich nur die Homologation. Firmen wie HG Motorsport und Tuningwerk, haben ihre eintragungsfreien Modelle für den bereits zugelassenen, baugleichen Endschalldämpfer des M135i um die Variante M140i erweitern lassen. Auf meinem ist beispielsweise die E-Nummer mit Vermerk M135i gelasert. Dem Gutachten geht jedoch hervor, welches nicht mitführungspflichtig ist, dass dieses auch für die Motorvariante B58 des M140i Gültigkeit besitzt. Hier wurde einfach eine nachträgliche Homologation, ohne großen Aufwand erreicht. Lautstärke verleihen dem guten Stück ohnehin nur Modifikationen des VSD/MSD und die Erweiterung einer Downpipe.

seit 06/16 sind klappenabgasanlagen die den auspuff lauter machen verboten?, dann wären alle porsche mit sportabgas ab neuwagenzulassung 06/16 illegal unterwegs :`)......... die haben einen normalen knopf zum klappe auf zu machen, natürlich im offenem zustand immernoch ecu-gesteuert, für mich sowieso immer wieder erstaunlich wie sowas legal sein kann :).... der aktuelle gt2rs zb. is mit offener klappe im stand and der ampel etc. echt schon extrem laut... gt3/rs unter last sowieso erstaunlich das es sowas original mit TÜV gibt.

I drive an M235i and can confirm, this car is an M235i and not a M240i. You can tell by the pre-LCI interior trim and pre-LCI taillights on this car. I'm not sure why this guy is claiming it is a M240i when it isn't. Even basic research shows this is NOT an M240i.

trilax59 it’s an m240i. 2017 model had the same interior as m235i. 2018 is when they gave it the newer tail lights and white dash screen. This guy knows his car, why would you think otherwise?
