Akrapovic for YAMAHA TRACER 900 make it louder

I have also a Yamaha Tracer 900GT with the original Yamaha Akrapovic exhaust. I also drilled out the baffle and made another hole for a screw (made some tread) at the bottow. Carefully drilled a hole in the carbon so i can quickly get out the baffle. If you make the 3 pipes of the baffle a little bit wider inside (sanding it bigger) it will be a bit easier to get it out. For normal driving I drilled 15 holes in the 3 pipes, so even with the baffle mounted it sounds much better!

Hello Arjan, I found your comment interesting. Thank you. I have the same bike with Akra exhaust as in the video. I would like to have a better sound than the one with the baffle which is terrible for a 1200$ extra money exhaust. It is the 1st time I read someone made holes in the baffle. Usually people say they cut 1/3 or half the baffle. I don't want to make a lot of noise and disturb people. I just want to be heard for security when I drive in the city and want to have acceptable noise in the highway. You recommend then 10/15 holes in the baffle ? thank you for your help.

Hello Marouan, yes I would recommend that. You can start with drilling less holes and start with a small diameter like 5-6 mm and make them little bigger if it is still to quiet. And even if you think after a while or when it is needed, I want it more quiet, you can wind heat resisting cord around the baffle and put it back in the exhaust. That works too. Spend all kinds of money for NOTHING but noise? WTF? Why? Failing to understand I mean I could see if it were SERIOUSLY lighter weight but if it cost $800 to shave off 1 kg for the LEAST concerning area of the entire platform? I would not consider before first exhausting cheaper weight savings like super light lithium battery for instance which is also higher cg weight .....maybe lighter tires? Then again just buy a 2021 which is SIGNIFICANTLY lighter AND more powerful with MORE ammenities! For he difference between selling older tracer900 and buyint new "TraceNINE"? You could not spend enough enough on aftermarket to equal the '21 as far as I can see....
