When Kurdish Medes took down the Assyrian empire in 614bc, they started a new calendar for a new age of freedom for all inhabitants of the region. Kurdish new year is 2722 this year. Happy Newruz to all the nations celebrating 🥳

Where can someone find this peace of history in writing? I am very interested in kurdish history.
@kevinyonan2147 Жыл бұрын
@@comeLord you can't, it's made up history for justification why Kurds are in Northern Iraq. The Mongol wars & wars of Tamerlane annihilated much of the Assyrian population which depopulated most of Northern Iraq. The Ottoman Empire, which had control and authority over substantial populations of Kurdish tribes, settled those tribes along what is now Northern Iraq to bolster their new borders with the Persian Empire after defeating them at Chaldiran.

Hi Mansoureh, I was in Akre for this years Nowruz celebration. We were there as guests of Aziz Waisi, the commander-in-chief of the Kurdish Zeravani. We loved they beautiful celebration and how friendly everyone was to us. We are creating a documentary where we are highlighting the Kurdish people's commitment to personal and religious freedom. Would it be possible for me to use a few shots from your great story?

Novruz (Newroz) is originally an Iranian tradition. It is highly debatable how and by whom it was adapted in Kurdish culture.
@pireBabel2 жыл бұрын
Nowruz is actually NOT Persian new year. If at all, it is the new year of Iranic people. There's a huge difference between Persians and Iranic people. All Persians are Iranic, but not all Iranic people are Persians. Kurds are also an Iranic people.
@mansoureh2 жыл бұрын
guess I explained it on the video that more than 300 million people in different countries celebrate Nowruz, and yes it is not only for Persian

If you do your maths you will know that newroz is actually way older then 2 or 3000 years if it started from the median empire who were kurdish, so that would be around 5000 or 6000 years old before the Persian empire. And sorry to correct you mam but newroz came from the med empire not persian, so you need to learn where it came from and who it started from. Remember the whole persia was under the median empire thats why they also passed on the newroz too apart from alot of other things and to the other countries. So please don't make it sound like its belongs to the Persians. If you research it you will know and hence why the 1st religion came from there also.

Thank you for the video, but let me correct you on Newroz, it is not a Persian celebration, it is an Iranian celebration since Kurdish people are also an Iranian nation That is why they celebrate it, I don't mean that Iran country nowadays but I mean the land of Iran that nations like Persian, Kurds, Azaris, and Baluches live on.

It is written in the Shahnameh that Iranians celebrate Nowruz when Jamshid came to power. Also, the Shahnameh is a Persian book and Persian speakers can read this book. You probably haven't read the Shahnameh and just learned something wrong on Instagram. There is no mention of the Kurdish people in the Shahnameh. Rather, Kurdish in Persian, especially Persian classical poems such as Shahnameh or Masnavi and Manavi, Diwan Hafez, etc., has meant a shepherd. Nowruz is celebrated by 300 million people in the world, but this is a Persian festival.
