It was mentioned in another video that there's an "Epic Variant" where you just play with all tiles regardless of player count. I can see us just playing like that all the time, I think ...

we tried it that way and did not like it as much. felt the game was much better with only a few things being "overpowered" so there was more direct competition for those things. with everything being doubly valuable, we tended to find that nothing stood out as important.

@@rahdo I can't tell if you mistakenly thought I was referring to "turning on" all the variant x2 powers, or using all the tiles in the box for an "epic" 2p game. :)

I know the gameplay is very different, but I am curious if this fits the same space as Cascadia?

they're both tile layers, but the puzzle of each is radically different. you could ask if cascadia and carcassonne fit the same space just as easily i think :)

i think it's doable. if they can handle carcassonne they could handle this :)
