Key point or take away point from sir : 1. Choose your optional and stick to it specially anthropology,it is rewarding. 2. Prepare entire syllabus in question answer formate. Question tend to repeat 3. Each chapter can be divided into certain set of question which can be written as model answer. 4.previous year question is so so important. Keep it in front of you. 5. Give mock test to get the feel that you still need improvement. Test are very important. 6. Make a broad target . 7.Resources: A. Paper 1: introduction to social cultural anthropology by Vaid sir aka yellow book. Upadhaya and Pandey for anthro theory P Nath for physical anthro and Vaid sir notes Online : university of Alabama for theory. E pathshala for certain matter. Quality of brain tree is not up to mark. Agar kahi na mile toh isko refer karo. 8. Topic of paper 1: A. Basic of anthro: unit 1.1 to 1.3 and 8 . For this section you have common formate like start with intro then go into background then start with scope and sub branches , relevance and contemporary relevance. Note: comparison always contain similarities and differences. Always highlight latest developments. B. Culture and society: unit 2,3,4,5 imp: role of scholar and book name. Rem that and mention it in your answer. C. Theory: unit 6 ( His personal fav section)formate :intro then start with school of thought and basic underline theory then pros and cons. Also mention publications of that scholar. Diagram are more relevant here. D. Evolution in genesis and fossils: scoring section, always try to attempt question from these section. 1.4 to 1.7, 9, 10, 11 diagram are important. Try to relate one section from other and highlight for examiner . Like theory to cultural part. Save the link, news article, epw article and use it in your answer. 9. Paper 2. Resource: archeological DK Bhattacharya , indian anthro by Nadeem Hussain, tribal India by Nadeem Hussain. Vaid sir notes, current affair from epw. Case study from internet ,the Hindu and down to earth. Online source: DR. Avisht gosh history of anthropology in India. It has brief about different Indian anthropologist. It is an online pdf. A. Archeology: formate if answer: intro ,time period, climate ,tool regional variation and social life. Def are important. Minimise you’re workload while rem sites. Keep content common. Bhai kaise yaad honge ye! Use map and diagram heavily. B. Indian society: unit 2,3,5 vaid sir notes are very good. Use Indian scholar and their work. Quote their book. Use example heavily. Case study are also important. C. Tribal India: it has static part like demographic,biogenetic variation. Do not ignore it. Latest policy of government relating tribal . Role of policy and report. Budget ko v yaad rakho like amount allocated for them. 10. Always quote the source for case study and if possible write down writers name. He use case study to show the problem of tribe simultaneously. Do not write problem separately and save time. Use flow chart 11. Indian society and tribal study are inter related. Like tribal cast continuum , Sanskritization , little great tradition. D, deVelopment of Indian anthropology

It's not a bio paper in biology it would have become necessary but here in anthro you can make a rough diagram just to make examiner understand what you're trying to show ! That's it!

I have this subject in graduation... And use of flow chart along with theory plays a huge role in gaining good marks in Anthropology. Another important thing is that you have practice diagram of stone tools in archaeology portion, diagram of mitosis and miosis in human genetic portion, bones and skulls all these are very important to gain marks in Anthropology.
