The drug used for heart failure is Digitalis, it inhibits the Na+K+-ATPase, which leads to increase in intracellular Na+ and subsequent decrease in Ca2+ efflux, which causes higher contractility. Sir, many congratulations to you on this big achievement! Your channel is undoubtedly my favorite, all the videos and short and to the point. They do not become long and monotonous.

Digitalis used to treat heart failure as it inhibits na+k+pump And increases intracellular na+ and ca2+ and have positive inotropic effect i.e.increased force of contraction

drug used in heart failure is digitalis , it inhibits sodium potassium pump , since Na+----K+ pump pumps 3 Na+ out and 2K+ in is inhibited so intracellular Na+ increases...( gradient of Na+ from outside to inside is decreased ) there is another exchanger called sodium calcium exchanger through which sodium is taken in and calcium is taken out... now since Na+ gradient from outside to inside is decresed , this will decrease activity of sodium calcium exchanger and calcium conc. in cell increases that cause increase myocardial activity am i right sir...

Digitalis used to treat heart failure Mechanism: inhibits Na+ - K+ ATP ase activity in myocardium which increases Na+ inside the cell and also decreases Ca2+ efflux so increases Ca2+ inside the cell..causes positive inotropic effect that is increase myocardial contractility.

Digitalis is the medicine for heart failure Because due to inhibition of Na - K ATPase Na+ influx increases causing decrease in Ca efflux leading to contraction of myocardium and increase in stroke volume Congratulations sir 💐

Digitalis. It inhibits Na-K ATPase,as a result Na+ efflux is decreased,to compensate it intracellular Ca+2 is increased,....which increases heart rate, simultaneously cardiac output

Digitin is used , it inhibits Na+ k+ATPase so Na+ remains intracellular because of this ca+2need not go outside so ca+2 efflux is decreased and it increases contractility of heart

Very concise and informative video! But i have one doubt: Isn't it like when muscles contract, the blood flow reduces due to compression of blood vessels? I read this in Guyton. Kindly clarify this! Thank you so much:)

Digitalis is used in heart failure as it decreases the action of Na-K ATPase pump which further increases the conc of intracellular Na by removal of Ca ion and at last the Ca efflux stops and then it increases the contractility ofheart
